Patterson (John) Cemetery, near Slanesville, WV.

Located on Hickory Corner Road on property owned by Earl Combs. Some ancient tombstones are laying on the ground, replaced by modern ones. The cemetery is near the house, on the right rear. This one is overlooked by almost everyone; yet, it's not in an obscure location.

  • John Patterson Sr.: died Jul 14, 1828; "In his 49th year".
  • Mary Patterson: born May 11, 1783; died Jul 7, 1828.
  • Alexander Patterson: born 1818; died 1818; "Son of John and Mary Patterson".
  • John Patterson Jr.: died Jul 3, 1899; "Son of John and Mary Patterson" "Aged 87 yrs 6 mos 28 days".
  • Margaret Smith Patterson: died Oct. 2, 1920; "Aged 92 years, I month, 28 days".
  • William Patterson.
