Pugh (Capt. Jonathan 1787-1834) Graveyard, near Slanesville, WV.

Located where Maud Pugh lived (down Hickory Corner Road almost to North River). This is an historic cemeteries in Hampshire County. Alexander Monroe's (one of the first settlers) wife is buried there. It is believe that Mrs. Golightly owns the property.

  • Capt. Jonathan Pugh: born Aug 26,1757; died Aug 21,1834
  • Mary Ellen Tansy: buried next to her husband Jonathan Pugh.
  • Daniel Pugh: buried next to his father, Jonathan Pugh.
  • Jonathan Pugh: born 1835; died 1914.
  • Maria Smith: born 1802; died 1875; "Wife of William Smith".
  • Elizabeth Yost: born Apr 16, 1837; died Oct 7, 1925; "Wife of Peter Youst (Yost)".
  • John W. Youst: born Mar 19, 1876; died Dec 3, 1909; [twin].
  • Lucy M. Youst: born Mar 19, 1876; died Aprl 11, 1892; [twin].
  • Lucy Monroe: born 1803; died 1880; "Daughter of Capt. Jonathan and Mary Ellen (Tansy) Pugh".
  • Euphema Monroe: born 1828; died 1913. Her husband was Alexander Monroe.
