"Old Records of Hampshire County"
by Leonora Wood
Leonora Wood was the wife of Rev. John A. Wood, a Presbyterian pastor. He served churches in Florida and Mississippi and in Keyser, West Virginia (1924-1942). She researched history of the local area and wrote about local history including this series of articles originally published in the West Virginia Review of Charleston. She was the mother of Catherine Marshall who based her book, Christy, on her mother.
The Hampshire Review reprinted several articles in its issues of 1936 and 1937. We appreciate the Review's cooperation in allowing us to reproduce the articles here.
